The Alpbachtal shows itself from its most beautiful side in summer. It doesn't matter whether you want to take it easy or are sporty. There is something for everyone here. We have summarized our favorites for you here. We are also happy to give you tips for excursions and destinations that are particularly worth experiencing in the respective season.
Reither lake
The Reither lake, also known as the “Blue Eye Reith”, is right in the center of town. After various activities such as hikes, trekking or walks, the lake is the ideal refreshment. In addition to a large sunbathing lawn, a children's play area, paddling pool, diving board, changing rooms, a possibility for fishing and much more are offered.
The maximum depth of the lake is 7.7 m and it is 1.45 ha in size.
Mountain and hiking world Alpbachtal
Hiking between gentle and rugged mountains!
Alpbach hiking paradise: The location between the lovely grassy mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps and the rugged Rofan mountains forms a hiking backdrop rich in contrasts in the Alpbachtal region. The Rofan mountain range with peaks such as Sonnwendjoch & Sagzahn impresses with its species-rich fauna & flora.
The Zireiner See is considered the "Blue Eye of the Rofan" and is one of the most photographed mountain lakes in Tyrol. The Alpbachtal with its rustic alpine pastures is a hiking area for the eyes and the palate.
Pure refreshment while hiking: Tyrol's warmest bathing lakes and three natural adventure gorges. A hiker's paradise with more than 900 km of marked hiking and walking trails (Austrian hiking seal of quality)!

Almabtrieb in Reith im Alpbachtal
Every year at the end of summer the cows are brought down from the mountain pastures to the valley. The festivities begin at 10:00 with the entrance of the music band and a square concert. In addition to various delicacies, insights into traditional handicrafts such as quill embroidery, hat making, etc. are also offered.
At noon, the colorfully decorated cows then parade through the village.
Various musicians such as alphorn players and folk music groups provide entertainment.
Children's park
The children's park in Reith im Alpbachtal offers entertainment for young and old. In addition to a game of mini golf or pit pat, the park offers a petting zoo, electric cars, a climbing frame, trampolines, a kiosk and a tourist train.

Biking & cycling
You will find over 20 official mountain bike tours, five racing bike tours (asphalted), Inn Cycle Path and Zillertal Cycle Path as well as two stages of the BIKE TRAIL TIROL in the Alpbachtal.
Rent an e-bike from the numerous rental stations in the Alpbachtal. Great tour destinations such as the Farmkehralm or the Holzalm are easy to reach.
